ACCESS South Bay is one of the largest, most advanced, and progressive veterinary multi-specialty referral groups in So Cal. We are comprised of emergency, critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology and surgery providing the highest level care for pets in our community.

ACCESS South Bay is looking for a Veterinary Doctor's Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. Our Doctor's Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with ACCESS (from history taking to discharge) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs
- Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients and patients
- Organize/track patient diagnostics
- Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment
- Prepare patient discharge reports/in-hospital updates
- Communicate with clients, referring DVMs and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals and prescriptions
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Have a desire to help people and their pets
- 2+ years of veterinary experience in a customer service role required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voiec
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Schedule flexibility

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $22-$26/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
