Description
We are seeking a client-focused, full-time veterinarian to provide a wide range of preventative health care and illness/urgent care in our clinics, which can include performing surgery if desired. Our AAHA-accredited veterinary hospitals offer digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, therapeutic laser, full-service dentistry with digital dental radiography, and a wide range of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Our Pain Management Centers also offer rehabilitation services.
Our veterinarians enjoy a 40-hour work week with a consistent schedule. There are no after hour calls or emergencies, and we are closed on all major holidays. Veterinarians earn generous paid vacation, paid sick time, and five floating holidays per year. In addition to our standard benefits, we also offer our veterinarians:

Compensation is $100,000 base salary with production commission. The expected annual compensation range for this position is $104,000 to $125,000.

Commission is accrued every four weeks providing 13 production periods per year.

Employment with the Animal Medical Center of Mid America is eligible for federal student loan forgiveness.

The stipend for continuing education expenses is based on the number of years since graduation and does not roll over year to year.

CE paid time off is based on the number of years out of school and does not roll over year to year. Time off can be used for travel days but is only good for normally scheduled workdays.

Missouri Veterinary License, DEA and Missouri Controlled Substance Licenses are paid.

Liability coverage (AVMA-PLIT).

Annual Membership - AVMA , GSLVMA , VIN or VetGirl. Other organizations (MVMA or other professional organization of your choice).

Requirements
Our requirements:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.

References upon request.

DVM licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Missouri or eligible.

DEA licensure in good standing or eligible.

Federal Accreditation or eligible.

Enthusiastic about animal welfare.

Maintain cooperative relationships with the other veterinarians, associated hospital departments, HSMO teammates and others contacted in the course of work.

Maintain composure, direction, and professional demeanor at all times.

The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.

Desirable:

Interest and/or training in canine rehabilitation and pain management.
