Position Overview:

Join our team as a Supervisor, Care Coordination who work to ensures that clients who come to the hospital are greeted courteously and efficiently, that phones are answered promptly and calls directly properly, and that client payments and other payments are handled according to policies and standards. Supervises care coordinators for the hospital and serves as a care coordinator when staffing levels require it.

Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Memphis, Tennessee, is a leading specialty and emergency hospital providing advanced care across multiple disciplines. With board-certified specialists and 24/7 emergency services, the team delivers cutting-edge medicine when pets need it most.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise care coordinators, including hiring, firing, and evaluating performance, reviewing time reporting, enforcing company policies and communicating new practices and policies regarding reception duties
• Schedule care coordinators according to staffing needs, serving as a care coordinator, as needed
• Receive client complaints and concerns regarding reception, escalating issues to Hospital Manager, as needed
• Maintains specialist (non-emergency doctors) scheduling information and changes
• Count cash and/or balance daily transactions, balance cash drawer and make change, as needed
• Process refunds, returns, and credits, as needed by location
• Organizes and processes all payment plans and held checks, as needed by location, obtaining approvals as necessary
• Bi-monthly billing statements and collections as well as end-of-month closing reports, as required by location
• Serve as back-up to Hospital Manager for maintenance or building issue resolution
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience
• At least 1 year veterinary medical receptionist experience preferred
• Veterinary environment, terminology, and protocols
• Working in a team environment
• Customer Service
• Handling multiple tasks and priorities
• Multi-line telephone systems
• Organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Supervisory and staff scheduling skills
• Basic math skills
• Properly handling and accounting for cash and client payments
• Good interpersonal skills

Schedule: 5 days per week, possible rotating schedule. Some night and weekend shifts are required.

Pay Range

$18 - $24 USD
