Company Profile
Habitat Veterinary Hospital
Company Overview
Habitat Veterinary Hospital is a locally owned and independent veterinary company with locations in Southeast Boise and Ketchum, Idaho. What started as a one-room wellness center has grown into a trusted leader in the veterinary community, known for high-quality medicine, compassionate care, and a team-driven culture.
We’re committed to staying independent—true to our hardworking “mom and pop” roots—while evolving into a progressive, forward-thinking practice. At Habitat, we believe veterinary medicine should be sustainable, rewarding, and built around the well-being of both pets and people.
Company History
Founded with a vision to create a better veterinary experience for both clients and team members, Habitat Veterinary Hospital has been shaping the future of independent veterinary medicine for nearly two decades.
Our Boise location was honored with dvm360’s Hospital Design of the Year award, built with an emphasis on efficiency, collaboration, and well-being—for pets, clients, and our team. Meanwhile, our Ketchum location reflects the heart of the Wood River Valley: a close-knit community, stunning mountain views, and a team that embraces the balance of work, adventure, and purpose.
From our earliest days in a single-room clinic to our thriving multi-doctor practices, we’ve always prioritized exceptional care, strong relationships, and a team-first culture. We’ve grown, adapted, and challenged the status quo, but one thing has never changed: our commitment to creating an environment where veterinary professionals can thrive.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Our Boise location won the dvm360 Hospital Design of the Year award in 2024 and the IIDA People’s Choice Award for our innovative, team-focused hospital design. Beyond veterinary care, we support our community through partnerships with Idaho Business for the Outdoors, The Peregrine Fund, and the Women and Children's Alliance.
