Description

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: The Information Security Program Manager is responsible for oversight of a multitude of IS related projects and programs. This will include leading, planning, organizing and implementation phases. This role will directly interface with business and technology leaders, cross-functional teams, application support teams, and security leaders to track the progress of information security priorities. This role will work directly with the senior leadership team to complete thorough needs assessments, conduct cost and risk analyses, and develop project plans including detailed budget and contingency plans.

Essential Responsibility/Task
  • Lead, plan, execute, and control assigned InfoSec initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and iterate on program management procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve business goals with defined success criteria
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to define security requirements and design solution
  • Lead cross-functional teams through full program lifecycles by defining scope/success criteria, setting expectations, establishing timelines, implementing solutions, and measuring success and lessons learned
  • Operationalize strategic security programs by making them efficient, scalable, and reliable
  • Identify program risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigations
  • Define processes end-to-end and drive improvements for maximum impact
  • Drive cross-functional and effective communications throughout the program lifecycle, providing the visibility and transparency required to ensure cross-functional team and stakeholder alignment
  • Work closely with the technical architects and security engineers to ensure security defects and enhancements are reviewed and closed out in a timely manner
  • Periodically reports status of info-security function. Escalates to senior leadership of matters of importance.
  • Develop and maintain InfoSec's project roadmap with InfoSec leadership team
  • Coordinate with project leads to ensure projects are prioritized and stay on track by helping identify/remove blockers
  • Build and deliver program metrics and communications to provide updates to stakeholders, including executives
  • Select appropriate security metrics to measure the success of the program and highlight trends or themes from raw data
  • Effectively influence and collaborate to achieve continual progress on objectives while managing risks and changes
  • Generate support materials including process documentation, testing analysis and other material supporting internal and external audits
  • Assist management in developing processes controls, and security requirements to address product risks
  • Validate security vulnerabilities have been accurately mitigated or remediated
  • Track and coordinate with projects that have an impact on IS deliverables to understand cross-project dependencies


Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology or Information Security Program Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Experience managing competing priorities and simultaneous/concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment


*All degrees will be deemed "or equivalent combination of education and experience" unless absolutely required to do the job (i.e., DVM degree for Veterinarian, Law degree for Attorney, etc.).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Work experience in information security, program/project management, or similar capacities.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with experience focusing under pressure
  • Success in delivering projects designed to improve information security controls.
  • Experience being independent, results oriented, and thorough in examination and analysis
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and partner teams, especially in collaborating with different individuals across the organization and within other geographies
  • Communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels including influencing executive leadership.
  • Experience adapting to dynamic situations and proactive work ethic
  • Experience managing competing priorities and simultaneous/concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
