We are currently seeking a full-time, highly skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Care Team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and maintain a high level of professionalism and dependability.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients and their pets in an effective, efficient, and friendly manner
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, ensuring they feel informed, respected, and genuinely cared for
- Collaborate closely with team members to provide seamless patient care
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Provide professional and engaged telephone communication, actively listening to client concerns
- Demonstrate proficiency in veterinary terminology
- Utilize strong time management skills to maintain workflow efficiency and complete tasks promptly
- Prepare for and assist with orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures
- Prepare for and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiology and ultrasound
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
- Conduct patient discharges and provide thorough client education
- Perform additional duties as assigned by executive staff

Requirements
Job Requirements
Scheduling:
- Flexible availability required, including day, evening, and holiday shifts
Holidays are scheduled on a rotational basis
Experience:
- Greater than one (1) year of experience working in a high-volume veterinary hospital, specialty practice, or emergency setting
Prior experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant preferred
Education & Licensing:
- Current South Carolina Veterinary Technician License in good standing
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods throughout shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Strength and stamina to safely assist with patient handling and restraint
Work Environment & Safety:
- Ability to safely work in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials, anesthetic gases, infectious and zoonotic diseases
- Adherence to all safety and sanitation protocols
Additional Qualifications:
- Demonstrated compassion and genuine care for animals
- Willingness to stay late or work through breaks when necessary, especially for emergency or critical-care cases
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and patient information
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to high standards of patient care
