Seeking Awesome Associate Veterinarian to join our AAHA Certified, Fear Free and Cat Friendly Certified team!
Hanging Rock Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced full-time associate veterinarian to join our fast-paced, energetic, knowledgeable team. We are a progressive small animal practice with an emphasis on early detection and preventive care in a fear-free environment. We also have an established team and client base for exotic animal care, so we'd love to have a veterinarian with experience in that arena as well.
We believe client education is one of the most important factors in providing our patients with the highest standard of care. We also provide digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, laboratory services, hospital and intensive care, soft tissue, orthopedic and dental surgery, class IV laser therapy, acupuncture, holistic medicine, and much more. Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in a small animal practice are preferred.
Client communication skills, attention to detail, excellent record keeping, and computer skills are a must.
Familiarity and comfort with integrative medical care are necessary.
Integrative medicine skills and ultrasonography experience are preferred but not required.
Dental surgery skills are preferred; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
Schedule:
Associates work 4-5 days per week. On call and holiday duty are not necessary as we have a local 24-hour emergency hospital which operates nights, weekends, and holidays.
Location:
Roanoke is located in the beautiful mountains of Virginia, with abundant outdoor activities, small enough to not have big city problems, large enough where there is plenty to do and enjoy.
