We are looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of CO who is passionate about eliminating animal overpopulation, homelessness and neglect, and keeping companion animals healthy and happy with the people who love them!

SpayToday focuses exclusively on essential, basic vet services – spays, neuters, vaccines, microchips, heartworm tests, and FeLV/FIV tests, that’s it. Our focused services allow us to provide efficient, cost effective, and high-quality vet care to indigent and vulnerable populations, despite any financial challenges they may have. Our mission is to eliminate animal overpopulation and keep companion animals healthy in their homes where they are safe and loved.
The successful candidate will be proficient with anesthetic procedures, including intubation, catheter placement, and recovery, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, but not required. They will also promote complete and accurate record keeping for every patient. Additionally, you will nurture an innovative, inclusive, and creative environment that cultivates conversations and relationships that actively work towards the future success of the team.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
- You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with team members and volunteers, and you help them feel welcome and supported
- An understanding of low stress handling and how to apply it to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of people and personalities
- Applicants must be able to prioritize, organize, communicate well, remain detail-oriented, and provide exceptional patient care
- Promotes teamwork by demonstrating a cooperative, flexible, adaptable, and helpful attitude with all staff and volunteers
- Maintains a positive, solutions-oriented approach to the work environment, looking for the opportunities within each challenge
- Contributes to initiatives to improve processes and procedures
- Coordinate with the team to ensure that the shift flows well
- Understand and follow the practice’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC)
- Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, surgery suite, treatment areas and kennels while following any and all applicable OSHA guidelines
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician with active Colorado license
- Superior written and oral communication skillsStrong people skills - empathy, personality, humor, warmth, kindness, listening skills
- A ‘no task is too small’ attitude and the endurance to consistently deliver amazing customer experiences
- Team player who works well with a wide range of personalities and communicates clearly and respectfully
- The employee must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker; this role involves being on your feet all day
- Ability to demonstrate patience, efficiency, and composure in stressful situations, and ability to handle a fast-paced environment

Our Clinic Schedule
- Full time hours
- 4 days per week, Tuesday through Saturday, rotating day off, Saturday availability required
- 6:45am - 5:30pm set shift – non-negotiable
