Magrane Pet Medical Center is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
Role Responsibilities:- Responsible for providing in-hospital treatments to patients such as medicating, bathing, monitoring vital signs and eliminations
- Observing behavior and pain scores
- Keeping hospital areas stocked, cleaned, and organized
- Caring for boarding patient needs
- Effectively communicating with other teammates in reception, our veterinary nurses, and veterinarians
Experience & Skills Requirements:- An individual that has 1 year of experience in the animal field, or who is eager to learn the veterinary assisting skills required to consistently provide next level veterinary care.
- A kind and positive problem-solver who desires to offer gold-standard care for every patient and has the compassion to ensure every patient is cared for to the maximum extent possible.
- A dedicated person who takes pride in their work while possessing a sense of humor and the patience to provide care in a low-stress manner for our patients.
- An ethical person with the emotional intelligence required to be a successful team player - you understand that everyone on our team has value and treat them as such.
- Someone who can recognize their own challenges and is willing to learn, grow, and strive for the betterment of the team.
- A committed employee who has a flexible schedule that includes some evenings until 7pm and rotating weekends due to the demands of a veterinary hospital being sometimes unscripted!
