BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician .

At BluePearl Specialty Hospital located in Des Moines, IA, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) to be a full time member of our Neurology and Neurosurgery service.

• The ideal candidate should be passionate about delivering high quality advanced patient and client care, supporting neurologic diagnostics and procedures.
• The ideal candidate should be very comfortable with general anesthesia and ventilating patients, and work well with a close-knit and fast-paced technician and doctor team.
• This job offers advanced opportunities to learn new skills including performing MRI and CT scans, advanced anesthesia and analagesia techniques and surgical assisting.
• The ideal candidate must have great communication and organisational skills.
• The daily tasks of the neurology technicians vary from history taking, assisting in consultations, helping to complete patient medical records, and communicating treatment plans with owners. You'll also be expected to help our neurologist perform neurosurgical procedures including MRI and CT scanning, and neurosurgeries, along with occasional inpatient care.
• Medical math and drug calculations are a part of our everyday routine, and the interested applicant must be highly skilled.
• If an interested and motivated candidate is not adept at all areas but is interested in the role, in-service training is an option!

This position will work Monday - Thursday 8am-6pm with rotating on-call Friday - Sunday.
