Description
Katella Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. This busy 2-doctor hospital has a dedicated team of Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Support Specialists to provide exceptional care to the dogs and cats in the surrounding community.- Salary: $30.00 - 35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- Additional Incentives: $1000 continuing education allowance, License reimbursement
- Schedule: Full-time, Five 8-hour shifts per week. Closed Saturday/Sunday and Major Holidays.

Who You Are:
- Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT license must be current)
- 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience (preferred)
- A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred by not required
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper handling and restraint of cats and dogs
- Skilled in venipuncture and intravenous (IV) catheter placement
- Perform basic exam procedures; obtain accurate and complete medical histories
- Perform complete dental procedures including digital x-rays, polishing, charting required
- Confidence and experience in general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) required
- Ability to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
- Ability to perform in-house laboratory diagnostics (IDEXX)
- Skilled at teaching, training, and mentoring veterinary technology knowledge and skills with other support staff
- Strong understanding of surgery scheduling and helps to control each surgery's flow to stay on track
- Familiar with logging/updating controlled drug inventory appropriately
- Excellence in client communication and education
- Adaptable to working well with current doctors and team members
- And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
