PV Village Pet Hospital is looking for a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician with Potential for Full-Time Employment to join our team!8-hour shifts with weekend opportunities in the future

As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role Requirements:
- Proof of Registered Veterinary Technician status in California
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals.
- Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspects of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
- Be proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, digital radiography (full body and dental)
- Assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (eg. Spays, neuters, mass removals, dentals, etc)
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
- Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with staff and clients
- Able to work late day shifts and a regular weekend day.
- Available part-time
Compensation is based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate up to $20-$30/hour.
