Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Veterinary Technician at Pikes Peak Veterinary Clinic. The Registered Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting with animal care, veterinary technology procedures, client education, anesthesiology support, and overall pet care activities.

1. The Registered Veterinary Technician role requires a 32–40-hour workweek. Working some Saturday mornings (one a month) and a weekday evening shift may be required (we are open 8am-noon on Saturdays and until 7 pm on Tuesdays).

3. The Veterinary Technician role encompasses skill sets which include, but are not limited to: Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, assisting in physical examinations and patient assessment, surgical preparation and assisting, patient recovery, dentistry, laboratory work, pharmacy protocols, providing compassionate care for our hospitalized patients, inventory restocking, and medical data entry.
4. All Pikes Peak Veterinary Technicians must maintain a working knowledge of the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all medical equipment.
5. All Pikes Peak Veterinary Technicians must maintain enthusiasm for working with our clients daily.

Qualifications

1. Certification/Licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is required (or a Provisional Registration currently in the process of completing accreditation)
