Requirements
This Opportunity:
The Licensed Veterinary Technician will coordinate with our DVM's to ensure world class animal care during hospitalization, surgery, outpatient care and appointments. They will collaborate with support staff to ensure patient and client needs and expectations are met. The LVT should enjoy working with a diverse group of people and animals while maintaining professionalism and flexibility in the face of varying expectations from clients and co-workers. Licensed Veterinary Technicians must share a firm belief in the quality of care we provide and be able to communicate this to the clients. The successful LVT contributes to the overall success of the business by performing their duties with our core values in mind.

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be licensed in the state of Virginia or pending licensure
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Triage Emergency patients
- Assist in life saving procedures such as CPR; Recover Certification is required
- Treating hospitalized patients under direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian
- Assisting veterinarians with animal care during emergency visits, well visits, appointments and surgeries
- Surgery preparation
- Administering anesthesia and patient monitoring
- Pre and post operative care
- Communicating clearly with doctors, support staff and clients
- Supporting the team with maintaining inventory and medical records; Familiarity with Cubex, Cornerstone and Instinct is preferable
