Pet Dental Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Technician who enjoys mentoring teams while remaining hands-on in patient care. This is a working leadership role ideal for a senior technician ready to take the next step without stepping away from the floor
About the Role
As the Lead Veterinary Technician (Practice Supervisor), you’ll lead by example clinically while supporting daily operations and team development. You’ll remain actively involved in patient care while also helping guide staff, workflows, and practice performance.
This role blends advanced technical skill, team leadership, and operational support in a specialty dental setting.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on veterinary technician care, including anesthesia monitoring and patient support
- Mentor and support veterinary technicians and assistants
- Assist with team scheduling, onboarding, and training
- Support hiring, payroll coordination, and basic reporting
- Collaborate with doctors to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care
- Promote a positive, organized, and team-focused clinic culture
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
- CVT/RVT/LVT (active and in good standing) preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary clinic
- Strong anesthesia skills, including monitoring BP, ECG, SpO₂, and ETCO₂
- Confident communicator with strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated, positive, and team-oriented mindset
