Animal Wellness Center of Bonita iis a well-established, privately owned small-animal practice located in the heart of beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. Founded in 2010, our clinic is led by Dr. Covino, a 2003 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Postion Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Whether you’re an experienced clinician or a new graduate, you’ll find a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and personal well-being.

- Small animal medicine and surgery (dogs & cats only)
- Digital radiology with teleconsults from board-certified radiologists
- PIMS with fully digitized medical records

- In-house diagnostics: Abaxis CBC/Chemistry, Antech & IDEXX reference labs
- Specialist collaboration:
- Board-Certified Internal Medicine specialist for ultrasound & echocardiography
- Board-Certified Surgeon available for complex procedures
- Anesthetic ventilator & central scavenger system
- Full in-house pharmacy
- 2 exam rooms, spacious open treatment area, and dedicated surgery suite with separate A/C

Schedule:
- Our hours: Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri.: 8 am - 5 pm and Wed. 8 am - 8 pm
- No Weekends or Major holidays!

Requirements
Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Active veterinary license in the state of Florida, or ability to obtain one
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for providing exceptional patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively with our team
- USDA Accreditation in Florida (preferred, but not required)
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical, surgical, dental and preventive care to small animals
- Perform routine surgeries, dental procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and compassionate care
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Work collaboratively with our team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for our patients
- Stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and advancements
