Animal Emergency Clinic of the Hudson Valley, in Kingston, NY is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to our team.

Animal Emergency Clinic of the Hudson Valley (AECHV) was founded in 1989 and is located in Kingston, NY. The hospital is community founded and supported by the local general practice community. It is an exclusively emergency clinic and is equipped with cardiac monitoring, in-house laboratory and ultrasound and dedicated support staff.

AECHV is located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, which sits midway between the metropolis of New York City and the regal capital of Albany. Designated as a National Heritage Area, the valley is steeped in history, natural beauty, culture, and a burgeoning food and farmer's market scene. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 annually based on experience (and schedule accepted) plus production and is si gn-on bonus eligible.

REQUIREMENTS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree or equivalent degree required
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
• Internship training is also preferred but not required
• Ability to attain NY Veterinary License
• Excel in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Soft tissue surgery skills are a plus
