- Associate Veterinarian
Description
Emery Animal Health (Castle Dale, UT) and Carbon Animal Health (Price, UT) are seeking a growth-oriented mixed animal veterinarian to join our established three-doctor team serving Eastern Utah.
Our caseload is approximately 70% small animal and 30% bovine/equine, with strong involvement in herd health and advanced reproductive work. We offer a flexible caseload and encourage development of special interests.
This is more than a traditional associate role. The current owner intends to gradually transition toward retirement within the next 4–5 years and is actively seeking a veterinarian interested in building toward partial or full ownership through a structured, collaborative succession plan. The structure is flexible and will depend on the right individual.

- Starting at $55/hour with production reviews
- 4-day work week
- 3 weeks PTO

- Health insurance support
- 401(k)
- Relocation/sign-on assistance
Practice Highlights
- Two established clinics
- Strong technician utilization
- In-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasound
- Covered hydraulic chute and livestock facilities
- Autonomy in medical decision-making
- Leadership opportunity within departments
Leadership & Innovation
We encourage our veterinarians to help guide medical standards, improve systems, participate in equipment decisions, mentor staff, and use KPIs to strengthen the practice.
Our practice is also involved in advancing bull fertility evaluation and application development in reproductive medicine. For veterinarians interested in innovation, up to ½–1 day per week may be structured toward this work. Participation is optional.
Rural practice is deeply rewarding for the right person. We value autonomy, meaningful client relationships, and long-term community involvement.
We welcome both new graduates (strong mentorship available) and experienced associates.
Direct inquiries are encouraged, and AVMA online applications are also accepted.
